This week, Psycholve organized a memory-recalling workshop at a local old age home, collaborating with students from Pratap Public School, Kunjpura. The session was filled with special moments as the elderly and students connected through personal stories and shared experiences.
One particularly touching moment occurred when a senior woman began recalling her time as a teacher decades ago. As she described her classroom and the bonds she formed with her students, one of the current students, aspiring to become a teacher herself, was deeply moved. Their conversation evolved into a beautiful exchange of ideas about teaching, and the connection between them was palpable.
Another memorable instance was when an elderly participant brought out a worn photo album and shared pictures of his youth, including family gatherings and festivals from a different era. The students were fascinated, asking questions about the traditions in the photographs, leading to a lively discussion on how customs have evolved over time.
The day ended on a heartfelt note when a group of students and seniors bonded over a game that involved recalling details from their past, with laughter echoing through the room as they shared funny incidents and forgotten memories.
These personal interactions are what make our workshops so special, bringing the generations closer and reminding us all of the importance of preserving memories. Psycholve is grateful to Pratap Public School for their involvement in this meaningful experience, and we look forward to creating more moments of connection in future workshops.
